THE COOKERY SCHOOL

We pride ourselves in making your dealings with the Cheshire Cookery School as easy and pleasurable as possible, and seek to ensure that every one of our customers is delighted with our service and their purchase. In the event of any problem please contact us at info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com. Your feedback is important to us and we will do our best to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

If you have any dietary/ allergies /religious requirements please kindly advise us at least 3 weeks prior to your class by email info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com

If you wish to take any food that you have cooked home with you please bring suitable plastic containers. Please note – we are unable to accept any responsibility/liability for food taken out of the school.

We reserve the right to cancel a class if the numbers booked on the class are less than 6 therefore making the class nonviable to run. In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled by The Cheshire Cookery School you will be offered a place on another class.

Force Majeure: In the unlikely event of extreme weather conditions preventing a cookery class from running, we will reschedule your class at a mutually convenient date within 12 months.

 

Example Menus

The menus listed on each class description are designed to give an example of the type of dishes that are included on the class – they are not the actual menu. The menu varies due to seasonality and availability and dietary requirements.

 

Booking a Full Day Classes/ Half Day Classes / Evening Classes/ Kids Club

In booking a class at The Cheshire Cookery School, you are booking for one individual class at the time and date specified on your booking confirmation. All bookings / classes are non-refundable.

 

Cancellation / Change to Booking by a Customer

If your circumstances change and you are no longer able to attend the class you are booked to attend, please let us know as soon as possible, via email to info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com. An administrative fee of £25.00 will be applicable to reschedule your booking.

The booking is non-refundable, but we can offer you a few options:

  • Up to 3 weeks’ prior to the class date, we can transfer your booking onto another class of your choice subject to availability** and an administrative fee of £25.00.
  • Less than 3 weeks’ prior to the class date, you are welcome to send somebody else in your place but please let us know via email to info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com there is an administrative fee of £25 to amend the booking
  • Please bear in mind that if for whatever reason you do not attend your class, your booking will be made void with no possibility to reschedule or refund your place.
  • An administrative fee of £25 per person will apply for all changes to bookings.

**If for whatever reason you need to change your booking, please be aware that for very popular classes we might not be able to accommodate your new date and you may have to select another class.

Gift Vouchers

Gift Vouchers must be used against a cookery course with The Cheshire Cookery School and cannot be exchanged for cash or other items. Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Gift Vouchers ordered via the telephone or website will be subject to a 14 day cancellation period starting from the date of the order.

Gift Vouchers cannot be extended and are non refundable.

 

Below you will find some relevant information in preparation to your visit to our School. Please read this carefully and should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at your earliest convenience via our email address info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com.

 

Arrival

Please arrive 10 mins prior to the commencement of the course. On arrival you will be directed to our coffee lounge where you can meet the chef and chat about the class. The class will provide plenty of demonstrations and hands on cooking and to finish, you are welcome to retire to our dining room to enjoy the fruits of your labour over a glass of wine, should you wish.

Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe, non-slip footwear. An apron will be provided for you to use during the class.

We are unable to accept any responsibility/liability for food taken out of the cookery school, however if you do wish to take any food that you have cooked home with you, please bring suitable plastic containers.

How to find us

Our location is situated away from the main road but easily accessible. From Manchester Road / A56, turn at the Wheatsheaf Pub, onto Oldfield Road, 2nd Right into Weldon Road leading to Lawrence Road, 2nd exit off the mini roundabout, at the crossroads, turn left onto Norman Road, then second right into a large car park where you will see a building with, COD Electrical, Miele and The Cheshire Cookery School signs, we are in the same building. Come in via the main entrance where you will be directed from reception.

Allergies/other requirements

If there are any changes at all in dietary / allergies / religious requirements, it is imperative that you inform us at the earliest opportunity no later than 3 weeks prior to the date of the class, via email to info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com

EVENTS AT CHESHIRE COOKERY

Venue Hire & Corporate Events & Private Events Booking and Cancellation Information

We pride ourselves in making your dealings with Events at Cheshire Cookery as easy and pleasurable as possible, and seek to ensure that every one of our customers is delighted with our service and their purchase. In the event of any problem please contact us at info@thecheshirecookeryschool.com. Your feedback is important to us and we will do our best to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

A 50 % non refundable deposit is required to secure the date, with the balance due 2 weeks prior to the date of the booking. Should you need to change the date of your booking we will endeavour to reschedule your booking, subject to availability and an administrative fee of 25% of the value of the booking. It is only possible to reschedule once.

Payment must be received in full prior to the event date in order for the event to proceed.

Damages & Breakages

We endeavour to ensure all equipment in the school is working and in a good state of repair, please alert a member of staff if you have any issues.

Any damages or breakages incurred will be charged for;

Burned broken worktops, sinks or hobs are to be replaced at market cost.

Any equipment damaged charged at cost of repair or replacement, whichever is the most practical solution for the school to operate.
