Under the expert guidance of chef Sushma in this hands-on Indian class, you will learn to mix authentic ingredients and spices, and make great tasting Indian food at home.
The course starts with a coffee and a chat with Sushma about the day ahead, and then it’s through to the kitchens for demonstrations of a range of authentic Indian dishes. Next it’s time to roll up your sleeves put on an apron, learn new skills and enjoy replicating the dishes under Sushma expert instruction.
Classes are fun and informal and when the dishes are completed you can then retire to the dining room to enjoy the fruits of your labour with a glass of wine or soft drink.
Everything you need for the class will be provided for you, including all authentic Indian ingredients, and handouts of all the recipes.
We firmly believe that great cooking isn’t about recipes—it’s about techniques, you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors.
Please arrive 10 mins prior to the commencement of the class. On arrival you will be directed to our coffee lounge where you can meet the chef and chat about the class.
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed toe, non-slip footwear. An apron will be provided for you to use during the class.
Please note – we are unable to accept any responsibility/liability for food taken out of the cookery school, however if you do wish to take any food that you have cooked home with you, please bring suitable containers.

Sushma Solanki was born & brought up in Nairobi/Kenya and has a multi award winning artisan food business in Greater Manchester. She is passionate about food and has taken inspiration for ingredients and recipes from her roots in Kenya and through over 30 years in the travel industry.
Sushma truly believes in the power of food to bring a little sunshine, good times, and comfort to our busy daily lives. Using her knowledge of world cuisine and passion for creativity, Sushma is delighted to be able to teach you to create authentic Indian food, challenging the misconceptions that Indian food is unhealthy and difficult to make.
