We are delighted to be working in partnership with Suzi Witt, the founder of Pretty Witty Cakes who will hold a series of Cupcake Classes at The Cheshire Cookery School between 13th and 16th August 2012. Pretty Witty Cakes have a huge worldwide following and Suzi’s fantastic classes are attended by students from all over the world who fly into the UK specifically to attend Pretty Witty Cakes’ classes. Suzi, a former Oxford University Graduate and lawyer came to baking later in life after having children.
"She is a self-trained cake maker and has been a game changer to the quality and variety of cupcakes in the UK – fostering many enterprising cupcake makers who have attended her classes and subsequently gone on to set up or develop their own successful businesses. On this visit, Suzi and her team will be teaching some of her hugely popular classes including the Chocolatier Cupcake Class, Cupcake Basics, the Cake/Cupcake Business Class, the Stencilling and Royal Icing cupcake class and the very popular Bread Making class."
The Classes and Class Times
The classes will run from Monday 13th August until Thursday 16th August from 10.15 to 4.30pm. All the classes will be full of tips, information, fun, laughter and tricks of the trade so you can learn to make cupcakes the Pretty Witty way.
The classes being held are:
- Monday 13 August: Cupcake Basics
- Tuesday 14 August: Retro Stencilling and Royal Icing Class
- Wednesday 15 August: The Chocolatier Cupcake Class
- Thursday 16 August: The Cupcake Business Class
- Thursday 16 August: Introduction to Bread Making Class
Our Venue
The classes will take place in the Cheshire Cookery School which is a purpose built venue with heaps of space. It is one of the best, spacious and brightest cookery school venues in the Manchester area
The School is easy to reach being just 10 miles from Manchester, 15 miles from Warringon, and 30 miles from Liverpool and from Chester. Parking is avilabile right outside the school free of charge.
What you need to bring
Everyone will be provided with absolutely everything they need for the day including all our tools, cutters, moulds, embossers, colours, mats, pastes and lots more. We want you to learn as much as possible so we will have all sorts of different equipment with us for the week. Everyone will have their own work stations in the huge kitchen and there are lots of ovens available for those attending the Cupcake Basics course. And of course, we would never go anywhere without our army of Kenwood mixers so they will also all be heading up north as Pretty Witty hits the road.
We supply lots of tea and coffee throughout the day and you can take breaks whenever you wish. All you need to bring with you is a packed lunch and an apron.
Price for Cheshire Classes: £150 to £185 depending on the class (includes VAT where applicable). Time: 10:15am – 4.30/4.45pm
